1983 -	Founded by Alec Cassels to service the agriculture sector, initially with a single vehicle.
Mid-1990s –	Moves into distribution for the construction, leisure and automotive accessories industries. Adds warehousing to haulage and distribution.
1998 –	Incorporates as Cassels Transport Ltd.
1999 –	Hamish Cassels assumes role of Managing Director and launches strategic growth plan to develop the company’s services and customer base.
2001 –	Company moves into fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) and starts delivering to high-street retailers.
2004 –	Invests in tailored IT system to service customer needs for better information.
2006 –	Continues to grow, further develops fleet, adds new customer services including account managers.
