A brief History of Cassels Transport ltd| 1983 - | Founded by Alec Cassels to service the agriculture sector, initially with a single vehicle. |
| Mid-1990s – | Moves into distribution for the construction, leisure and automotive accessories industries. Adds warehousing to haulage and distribution. |
| 1998 – | Incorporates as Cassels Transport Ltd. |
| 1999 – | Hamish Cassels assumes role of Managing Director and launches strategic growth plan to develop the company’s services and customer base. |
| 2001 – | Company moves into fast moving consumer goods (fmcg) and starts delivering to high-street retailers. |
| 2004 – | Invests in tailored IT system to service customer needs for better information. |
| 2006 – | Continues to grow, further develops fleet, adds new customer services including account managers. |
